- August 31 :
- Pre-Release Begins: The Wrath of the Lich King Pre-Release Update and New Realms will be available during Regional Maintenance.
- September 6 to 13 :
- “Zombie Plague” Event: A mysterious evil is eating away at the capitals. Players will need to be vigilant to avoid falling victim to its deadly effects.
- September 13 :
- “Scourge Invasion” Event Launched: In several locations across Azeroth, players must defend themselves after an attack on a Necropolis and eliminate the forces of the Scourge in order to gain powerful rewards.
- From September 20 to October 6 :
- Beginning of the Brewfest: Do you like to stuff yourself with good things? Thoroughly rinse your throat? Riding rams around barrels of apples? So take part in limited-time activities and events to earn souvenirs and Brewfest achievements during this festive beer-flowing event.
- September 27 :
- Wrath of the Lich King Classic: Players can log into Wrath of the Lich King Classic starting at midnight PST.
- October 4 and 5 :
- Beginning of the Fifth Arena Season: The fifth season will begin with the weekly reset.
- October 6 :
- (re)discover Naxxramas, the Eye of Eternity and the Obsidian Sanctum: From midnight (Paris time).
- Naxxramas, the giant necropolis of the dreaded lich Kel’Thuzad, floats above Wintergarde Keep in Dragonblight to aid the Lich King in his dark machinations.
- Located in the center of Coldarra, the Eye of Eternity will challenge players to defeat the Blue Dragon and Aspect, Malygos.
- Dragonblight is home to the Obsidian Sanctum, where players must venture beneath the Wyrmrest Temple to put an end to the actions of Sartharion and his lieutenants, Obscuron, Tenebron, and Vesperon.
