The Bello station of the Medellín Metro experienced a tragedy on the morning of Friday, September 20, when a passenger unexpectedly lost her life after collapsing on the platform.

Despite the rapid action of the Metro staff, the woman was declared lifeless at the scene. According to preliminary reports, the passenger suffered a seizure, which caused her fatal fall.
The Medellín Metro company issued a statement explaining the suspension of service at the station from 11:24 a.m., as part of the proceedings that required the intervention of the competent authorities.
