The transfer book is open in several important leagues and at River they know that offers can arrive for any of their players at any time. José Paradela is one of those targeted so far.

José Paradela arrived at River at the beginning of 2021 as a bet. Marcelo Gallardo’s intention was to take him little by little and the reality is that in his first semester at the club he barely added minutes. Then he had some opportunities, but between the second half of 2021 and a large part of 2022 he failed to have the continuity he wanted and he even thought of leaving, even on loan, to find minutes at another club.
Martín Demichelis arrived at River in November 2022 and made it clear that he wanted to see all his players before defining which positions to reinforce and which players he could let go in the face of an interesting proposal. José Paradela was one of the footballers who surprised him the most in the preseason and that meant that he played the first games of the semester -with De La Cruz injured- as a starter at a very good level. Then he was losing the position due to internal competition.
What teams want José Paradela?
A few weeks ago, Racing was the club that showed interest in José Paradela, but at River they prefer not to reinforce a direct competitorAlso beyond that there was no offer. On the other hand, in the last few hours Salernitana appeared, an Italian team that works in Serie A who was interested in the left-handed midfielder of the Greatest. It should be noted that Paradela would not view an exit with bad eyes since he wants to play with greater continuity.
River’s position
José Paradela’s contract with River has an expiration date of December 31, 2025. The club’s intention is that if Paradela leaves, he does so for a sale. River has no intention of giving it up on loan, much less to an Argentine soccer team. It is understandable that the club takes this position and more so taking into account that if it wants to reinforce itself with top players, it will need money to do so.
