The thread of life was cut for Manolis Papastephanakis, at the age of 84.
The deceased was a minister, MP of Heraklion with PASOK from 1981 to 1990 and from 1993 to 1996. He was also an organizational member of PASOK in Crete and secretary of the Prefectural Committee of Heraklion.
His funeral will take place next Monday at the Holy Church of Agios Titos in Heraklion at 15:00.
In a related announcement, PASOK states that: “It is with sadness and respect that we say goodbye to the former Minister of PASOK and historical figure, Manolis Papastefanakis, who has passed away.
He exercised his parliamentary and ministerial duties with dedication, honesty and hard work, serving as a Member of Parliament for Heraklion in the periods 1981-1990 and 1993-1996, as well as Minister of the Interior and PECHODE.
We send our sincere condolences to his family.”
