PASOK is setting up a shadow government – What changes will Androulakis make?

In this climate, Koumoundourou declares that the first decisions of Nikos Androulakis after his re-election are a matter of days, maybe even hours, and that in the foreground he decides sweeping changes in K.O. and in the second he sets up the shadow government against the ND, putting PASOK in battle formation against the government.

We must also mention that the Mitsotakis-Androulakis appointment is something that must be taken for granted, as the offices of the two leaders are already in consultation to find a day and time available to both.

When it comes to changes, many names are heard, but few actually apply.

Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow the first announcements will be made and in all probability they will concern the new arrangement of the parliamentary group. Nikos Androulakis will hand out portfolios for the most effective pressure on the government, while he himself will attempt to market himself as the formidable rival of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, hoping that this will boost his profile and raise his shares.

It is said that there is no place in the order of battle for Haris Doukas, for whom Harilaou Trikoupis’ message is to devote himself to the duties of the mayor of Athens, while he is not going to use those who worked closely to make the mayor of Athens president, such as Christos Protopapa, Odysseas Konstantinopoulos et al.

It is also said that he will propose staff positions to Pavlos Geroulanos and Anna Diamantopoulou. Such that they will not be able to refuse, but will also put them in the front line, directly responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the opposition that PASOK will exercise in the government.

Whether Anna Diamantopoulou and Pavlos Geroulanos will participate in the new political directorate (as vice-presidents?) is still questionable. There are executives very close to Nikos Androulakis who recommend that the new directorate be made up of persons of his absolute trust. Whatever criterion prevails in the president’s choices for the new party director (trust or political weight, unity or fist), Michalis Katrinis and Nadia Giannakopoulou are not expected to participate in the new center.

As far as PASOK’s ideological and political direction is concerned, here things are somewhat clearer.

Colleagues of Nikos Androulakis are not talking about turning right or left. They adopt the bilateral enlargement that Pavlos Geroulanos has also spoken about, seeking to arouse the interest and timely support of SYRIZA and ND voters. Especially with regard to SYRIZA and the scenarios of a rapprochement with Alexis Tsipras in the context of ferments in the center-left, etc., in the staff of Nikos Androulakis they are talking about “jokes”.
