Son of an absent mother and a distant father, Pascal Danel made his mark on the history of French song with two hits: The Beach for Romantics et The Snows of Kilimanjaro. The one for whom music was a lifeline, passed from the shadows to the light after a motorcycle accident. His life, punctuated by encounters and passionate loves, bears witness to the way in which he soothed the scars of childhood through his compositions. He passed away during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, victim of a heart attack, at the age of 80, leaving behind a musical legacy rich in memories for the generation of the sixties.
