“It feels like there’s a really positive atmosphere in the village, and it’s definitely impacting the players. When you arrive at the hall, it feels like everyone is energized and driven,” observed club manager, Johan Gerell.

The men’s team, comprising Gerell, Malte Möregårdh, Aleksi Räsänen, and Andreas Törnkvist, secured promotion with a resounding 6-0 victory over Västers BTK from Motala. Their journey began with a dominant 6-0 win against Eskilstuna in the superetta series finale, setting the stage for this decisive match.

Adding to the celebratory mood, former national team captain Jörgen persson, who contributed considerably to the team’s earlier successes, chose to play with the B-team in Kalmar. They secured an impressive 8-1 win against Faggemåla BTK. “he even lost a match there,” gerell chuckled, “but of course, it’s fantastic that Jörgen participated and played in Kalmar. Many people wanted photos and autographs from him.”

Recognizing the need for a dedicated training facility, he funded the construction of the craft Arena, a 10,000 square meter sports complex inaugurated in November 2022.
