The Casatramway line T3 and T4 construction project has reached an important milestone in connection of the lines, in particular with the T1 line, in the city centre. More precisely :
- At the intersection of boulevard Mohammed V with boulevard Mohamed Smiha for T1 / T3;
- At the crossroads of boulevards Hassan II, Moulay Youssef, rue Allal el Fassi and rue Agadir, for lines T1/T4.
The complexity of the works and the intervention at the level of the T1 tramway line in the city center require: the temporary cessation of operation of part of the tramway line T1 at 12 stations located between the Hay Mohammadi station and the Avenue Hassan II station, from July 24 to August 13.
Indeed, the preparatory stages started since last May are coming to an end to make way for the actual work to connect the railway line of the 2 lines which will take place from July 24, 2022 to August 13, 2022. This operation will also make it possible to create a connection which will ensure the guidance of tramway trains to different routes. During this period, it is also planned a global development of the intersection of the boulevards Hassan II and Moulay Youssef as well as the streets Allal el Fassi and Agadir.
This temporary stop will therefore concern the stations: Achouhada, Grande Ceinture, les Anciens Abattoirs, Bahmad, Casa Voyageur, Place Al Yassir, la Résistance, Mohammed Diouri, Marché Central, Place des Nations Unies and Place Mohammed V.
A partial service remains provided between the Sidi Moumen terminus and the Hay Mohammadi station (Provisional Terminus) then between the Lissasfa terminus and the Hassan 2 station (Provisional Terminus).

It should be noted that the operation of line T2 will not be affected by this shutdown.
The connection points between the T1 and T2 lines remain operational, and the connection remains free.
To complete the work as soon as possible and ensure safety conditions for road users and all the trades involved in this operation, two traffic stops will be carried out:
- Stopping traffic at the intersection of boulevards Moulay Youssef and Hassan II,
The diversion of traffic towards rue Mustapha el Maani coming from Zerktouni and towards Bd Rachidi coming from Bd de Paris.
- Stopping traffic at the intersection of boulevard Mohammed V and boulevard Mohammed Smiha,
Traffic diversion through Rue Pierre Parent and Boulevard Hassan Sghir.
As a reminder, the Casatramway T3 and T4 lines project is currently experiencing a overall progress rate of around 65%.
A broad information campaign aimed at casatramway users, those living near the construction site and road users, supported by a communication system, has been deployed in order to best support users during this period.
