Baghdad / Obelisk: The Parliamentary Investment Committee described, on Monday, January 9, 2023, the prices of apartments in the capital, Baghdad, as “imaginary.”
The deputy head of the committee, Hussain Al-Sabri, said: “We have noticed that there are prices for apartments at fantastic prices, even more expensive than those in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.”
He added, “This matter prompted us to demand that a price be set for the housing units, taking into account the technical situation and the materials used in the construction.”
Al-Sabri stressed “the need to set a reasonable profit margin and fix unit prices, after which projects will be announced to be offered at reasonable prices to citizens.”
