Parkour’s Nanchang Station “瀡” 10-meter ladder violates MTR bylaws and fined 3,000 yuan

Two videos circulated on the Internet earlier, showing that a man made dangerous actions on a handrail platform of MTR Nanchang Station at regarding 11 am on August 14 last year, including performing extreme sports, running and walking along the handrail. The 31-year-old man surnamed Kwan was convicted at Tuen Mun Magistrates’ Courts today (11th) for violating the MTR Bylaws, Cap. 556B, and was fined $3,000.

After intelligence analysis and in-depth investigations, officers of the Railway Police District Task Force successfully identified the man and investigated him on suspicion of violating MTR bylaws. The police welcome the court ruling, and at the same time remind the public that they must abide by the law when carrying out any activities, especially in crowded places or when using public transportation, and they must also take into account the safety of others.
