Won confidently, but without shining – as with the narrow 2-1 win in the first leg, Paris St. Germain had a lot of difficulties in the quarter-final second leg once morest BK Häcken, at least on the offensive. Although the French dominated the game from the start, they found it difficult to create clear chances once morest compactly defending Swedes. If they did get through, goalkeeper Falk was usually the last stop, as was the case with a first attempt by the recovered Katoto (11th).

While Häcken had played bravely forward in the first leg, this time it was hardly possible once morest the superiority of PSG, who often pushed the Swedes into their own half with eleven men. The guests also didn’t exploit rare counterattacks well, so there was never any danger to the Paris goal in the first half.

As the game went on, the hosts became more and more dangerous: Curmark barely blocked a shot from Chawinga with a courageous tackle (17th), before Falk shone once more with a foot save (25th). A minute later the goalkeeper was powerless, Chawinga’s shot bounced off the right inside post and into the net (26′).

Falk parried brilliantly several times

Even following the break, PSG dominated the game. Katoto almost made it 2-0, but Falk made another strong save (50′), as well as five minutes later in a one-on-one once morest the striker. A long-range shot from Albert into the corner finally put PSG on the road to victory (70′). Four minutes later, Katoto finally won for the first time in her private duel with Falk and headed the score 3-0.

After the double strike, the hosts shifted down several gears and enabled Häcken to make her first shots: Nildén shot just wide of the goal, Grant (88th) and Csiki (90th+3) tested the Paris goalkeeper Kiedzynek for the first time. But the result was never in danger, PSG were able to celebrate their deserved entry into the Champions League semi-finals, their fourth in the last five years.

There the Parisians will meet Olympique Lyon for the German national player Sara Däbritz in the intra-French duel. The two games will take place on April 20th and 27th.
