CHEF de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Anindya Bakrie, said that he would carry the theme ‘Red and White Flying, Great Indonesia Resonates’ at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The reason this theme was chosen was because, if the song Indonesia Raya plays in Paris later. So, Indonesian athletes got Olympic gold medals.
“We are in great spirits, the Red and White is flying, Indonesia Raya is ringing. Because, for that to happen, we have to be able to get gold,” said Anindya in the Rasuna Said area, Kuningan, South Jakarta (25/3).
Anindya said that his party was not grandiose in setting targets for the Olympics later. He only wants the athletes to maintain the golden tradition.
“We don’t want to be grandiose, we want to maintain traditions so that Indonesia Raya continues to reverberate and the more of them the better,” he said.
Furthermore, Anindya stated that her position as Chef de Mission (CdM) for the Paris Olympics was an honor. Therefore, he asked for support from all parties so that the target can be achieved.

“Because of this, this event is not just a gathering, but an invitation to always collaborate for those high ideals. Because we know, the spearhead is our athletes and they are the ones we always provide support for,” said Anindya.
On the same occasion, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee Raja Sapta Oktohari also appreciated Anindya’s efforts to lead the athletes at the Paris Olympics with this theme.
He is also optimistic that at the Olympics a number of positive records will be achieved for Indonesian sports. Moreover, until now there are still a number of athletes fighting for Olympic slots.

“We will give a new color to Indonesia’s sporting achievements, especially at the Paris Olympics,” said Raja Sapta.
“Of the seven athletes who have qualified, there are several sports that are still trying to qualify, for example archery, weightlifting, judo, aquatics, they are still trying. Even rock climbing is still trying to add more athletes,” he added.
Furthermore, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Dito Ariotedjo, also appreciated the steps taken by Anindya. In particular, inviting all parties to work together to achieve the Olympic targets.

“Of course Mr. Anindya is giving the hardest mandate because the Olympics is the highest event in the world. So, for Indonesia to progress in sports, it must receive emotional support and motivation so that the target can be achieved,” said Dito.
Artistic Gymnastics Wins First Olympic Games for Indonesia
The Olympics have not yet started, Indonesia has set a record by sending the first representative in history in the gymnastics event, Artistic Gymnastics with athlete Rifda Irfanaluthfi.

Rifda was also grateful for her achievement in qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also admitted that she had struggled a lot to reach Paris.
“Of course I feel very grateful, Alhamdulillah, because Rifda is not fighting alone, Rifda is also fighting with coaches and people who support Rifda,” said Rifda.
“Rifda is very happy that there are Indonesian gymnasts who have qualified for the Olympics for the first time,” he added.

Rifda said that preparations for taking part in the Olympics had been underway since 2015. One way is to take part in the Sea Games and take part in the world championship gymnastics event.
“In 2015, Rifda made her first debut at the Sea Games, then at the World Championship. However, at the 2015 World Championship, she had not yet qualified for the Olympics,” he said.
He just broke the egg and qualified for the Olympics following taking part in the world championship in 2023. Regarding preparation, until now he is still actively practicing and continues to follow the coach’s directions.
“Rifda fought even harder, in the 2018 and 2019 World Championships he still failed. However, the hope of Rifda and the coach was that finally in 2023, even though he was injured, he finally qualified for the Olympics,” he concluded. (Ndf/Z-7)
