Paris Olympics: Arshad Nadeem qualifies for final in javelin throw – Sports

Pakistan’s national hero Arshad Nadeem has qualified for the final in the javelin throw competition at Paris Olympics 2024.

Javelin throw qualifying round group B competition started in Paris, where his competitor was Indian rival Neeraj Chopra, national hero Arshad Nadeem threw a throw of 86.59 and qualified for the main round (final).

India’s Neeraj Chopra threw 89 meters and became the first in javelin throw competitions in Paris Olympics, A. Peters from Grenada threw 88.63 meters and he was second while Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem finished third with a throw of 86.59 meters.

In javelin throw events, 4 athletes from Group A qualified for the next stage, Germany’s Julian Weber threw 87.76 meters and finished first, Kenya’s Julius Yego threw 85.97 meters.

Czech Republic’s Jakub Widlich, who finished third in Group A, threw 85.63m, while Finland’s Toni Kiernan threw 85.27m to finish fourth in the group.

Arshad Nadeem while talking to reporters before leaving for Paris said that I am fully fit and well prepared, I have worked hard for this event, I will try hard to bring medals for Pakistan, I think. That I will succeed in my goal.
