Paris Olympics 2024.. Its games and broadcasting channels

The Olympic Games are considered one of the most important international sporting events, as they are held every four years and attract participants from all over the world. The last edition of these games was held in 2020 in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

The Paris 2024 Olympics are scheduled to start on July 24, two days before the official opening ceremony, and will continue until August 11 of the same year.

Number of games in the Paris 2024 Olympics

The Olympic programme will feature competitions in 32 sports (28 of which are core Olympic sports and 4 additional sports) over 19 days, comprising 329 events and 762 competition sessions.

The sports competitions will begin with team sports such as handball, rugby and football in different cities such as Lille, Saint-Denis and Paris, and the first medals will be awarded the day following the opening ceremony, in sports such as cycling, judo and fencing.

Swimming: Includes various styles such as freestyle and backstroke.
Artistic swimming: A team competition in which athletes perform synchronized exercises to music.
Diving: Individual and pair competitions where athletes jump from platforms of varying heights.
Marathon swimming: an individual long-distance race in open water.
Water polo: A team sport played in the water between two teams, each of which attempts to score goals in the opponent’s goal.
Surfing: This is the second time this sport has been in the Olympic Games.

beIN Sports will provide exclusive coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympics in the Middle East.

For those living in Europe, several channels will be broadcasting the Olympics, including the BBC in the UK, ARD and ZDF in Germany.

While in the Americas, NBCUniversal holds exclusive U.S. broadcast rights, and the events will be carried across a variety of its television and digital channels.
