THE Indonesian women’s doubles pair, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, were defeated by the Malaysian pair, Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan.
Apri/Fadia lost to Tan/Muralitharan in the final match of Group A of the 2024 Paris Olympics at La Chapelle Arena, Paris on Tuesday (30/7). Apri/Fadia lost two straight games with a score of 18-21 and 9-21.
Apri/Fadia actually appeared to be pressing from the start of the match, they managed to record a score of 4-2.
However, the Malaysian pair managed to catch up on the points and turned the score around. The first game interval Tan/Muralitharan were ahead 9-11.
After the interval, the game was very tight, they were tied 16-16. However, the first game was closed with an 18-21 win for Tan/Muralitharan.
Moving on to the second game, at the beginning of the match Apri/Fadia and Tan/Muralitharan appeared equally strong. They equalized each other’s points.

The second game interval with a score of 8-11 for the Malaysian pair. After that, Apri/Fadia were completely unable to get out of the pressure.
Thus, the second game ended with a 9-21 victory for the Malaysian pair and they were entitled to advance to the quarter-finals.
