On social networks, the wild countryside of the Krispy Kreme brand did not only arouse amused comments. Deployed without authorization on several walls in Paris a few days before the opening of its store, the posters featuring the donughts of the American firm provoked the ire of the Parisian executive on Thursday November 30, 2023.

An illegal campaign

“French people, you are going to change your regime.” XXL jokes such as “Macaron Resignation”, or “The best croissant in Paris” (illustrated by a half-eaten donuts) made Parisian elected officials laugh, while the municipality announced its wish to reduce the place of display in the capital.
