In a space of 1000 m2, Paris je t’aime sets up its new tourist information point (ticket office and official shop), opens a café dedicated to Parisian products, and kicks off the Spot 24 exhibition with a view to Paris 2024.

The exhibition highlights 6 new Olympic disciplines: skateboarding, sport climbing, BMX freestyle, surfing, 3X3 basketball and breaking.

This exposition presented by Paris je t’aime – tourist office and the Olympic Museum of Lausanne opens from October 2023 to December 31, 2024 and highlights 6 new Olympic disciplines: skateboarding, sport climbing, BMX freestyle, surfing, 3X3 basketball and breaking, under the artistic direction of François Gautret, RStyle. The latter stresses that they have in common “their lifestyle” with “lifestyles with a strong identity which have nourished several generations of amateurs for decades and given birth to athletes from urban cultures”. He adds : ” today, these disciplines are practiced all over the world and their arrival at the Olympic and Paralympic Games marks the beginning of a new era towards modernity and urbanity at the heart of sport”.

Among the works that can be discovered at Spot 24 : original frescoes by PichiAvo, posters and watches from the mythical Keith Haring x Swatch collection, the personal vinyl collection of Lord Funk, the famous New York record dealer, stop-motion videos by Patagraph, known among other things for the production of the “La Quête” clip for Orelsan, a space dedicated to “finger skate” in miniature streets of Paris designed by Nicolas Pierre, surfboards by Polynesian artists, or photos and sculptures by the French artist Léo Caillard.

Alongside François Gautret, Curator of the exhibition (founder of the RStyle association and expert in urban cultures), the museographer Clémence Farrell signs the scenographic intention. The place was revisited by urban architects Marc-Antoine Servella and Anaïs Estrade (Same).
