LOS ANGELES – Socialite Paris Hilton has teamed up with entertainment company The Sandbox to create “Parisland,” a virtual reality dating show that will take place on a metaverse platform.
Hilton will be the host of a “romantic adventure set on a tropical island” in which players will search for love among five potential partners, according to the specialized media Deadline.
Participants will have to perform tasks such as creating alliances, choosing outfits and flirting with other contestants from the island in a program that will culminate in a wedding that will have Hilton as DJ.
“Get ready to have fun on the beach, collect nice collectibles and explore my new tropical metaverse ‘Parisland’,” the actress announced on her Twitter account.
“Parisland” will be released to the public on February 13 on the eve of Valentine’s Day and will be available for a month on The Sandbox metaverse platform.
Anyone who is interested and has an account in The Sandbox will be able to join the game at no cost and those who complete the challenges will be able to win exclusive NFT’s from Paris Hilton.
The agreement that finalized the realization of “Parisland” was carried out between the production house of the businesswoman called 11:11 Media and the virtual world of games The Sandbox.
The entertainment company 11:11 Media was founded in 2021 by the socialite and Bruce Gersh and has so far managed to work with companies such as Disney and Viacom.
