Like other conventions, the famous Parisian pop culture meeting is also preparing to meet the public.
Over the past two years, Covid-19 has paralyzed many sectors, from the economy to the restaurant industry. Entertainment has also been strongly impacted, and many events have been canceled, postponed or organized remotely. But 2022 marks the beginning of a return to normal life.
reunion “which promise to be unforgettable”
After the Japan Expothe Gamescom egg le Tokyo Game Show, it’s the turn of another major video game event to reopen its doors to enthusiasts. The Paris Games Week will indeed make its big comeback in person. Great news that the Syndicate of leisure software publishers (SELL) has just shared, specifying that the show will be held from November 2 to 6, still at Porte de Versailles. After two editions canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic, the event intends to bring everyone together around a show that is intended to be family-friendly. The last edition dates from 2019 and attracted no less than 317,000 visitors who came to discover the latest in video games and pop culture.
For the moment, it is still too early to know which publishers will be present next November. On the SELL side, enthusiasm is essential. The General Delegate Nicolas Vignolles explains that ” the French video game will find its party. What an immense joy to be able to meet once more! We are going to offer all our communities of players who are so committed, this benchmark event that they have helped to shape for more than ten years and which has been missed so much. We have taken advantage of the last two years to design this edition and a reunion that promises to be unforgettable.”.
Paris Games Week allows you to test games that have just been released, or are regarding to be released. Next November, it may be possible to try out the new FIFA and get a glimpse ofHogwarts Legacy, God of War Ragnarök or of the next episode Assassin’s Creed. The PGW is also an opportunity to highlight French know-how, with in particular the “Games made in France” stand, bringing together several French titles released or to come each year. This space allows players to discover these titles, but also to meet those who created them. Over the years, the show has also become a moment of sharing with various organizations. In addition to the various schools present on site to highlight their training, it is indeed possible to find associations that work to make video games more inclusive. For the most impatient, places will be open for reservation from June 15 on the show’s official website.
