Paris is preparing to evacuate its nationals. A first French plane took off for Niamey. A security measure while the option of a military operation mentioned by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is on the table. Some 600 French people are currently there. Bruno Fuchs, general delegate of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie, believes “that we are at the end of a military operation, but no one wants it.”
