Since 2018, the app Maps (Maps) yes Apple they have been rebuilt, gaining new features, in order to stand up to their competitors — which have more detailed maps and more functions. These changes, however, are trickling down to different parts of the world.
Today, by the way, it was the turn of some improvements to be released in Paris (France). It is worth remembering that the detailed maps and new resources had already been released in the country as a whole for almost a year, with the most recent news concentrated in the capital.
As shown by MacRumors, among the novelties we have markings of highways, streets, buildings, districts, parks, squares, trees, transit routes, among others. We also have 3D visualization to important points, such as city monuments, as well as walking itineraries in augmented reality — as already available in countries like Spain and Portugal.
According to Justin O’Beirnethere are 30 new 3D models of famous monuments, such as the Arch of Triumpho Pantheono castle of versaillesa Torre Eiffel, between others. Most points also gained icons on the map — with the French city having the most, with 33 in total. Another novelty — which applies to France as a whole — are routes for cyclists all over the country.
With the addition of Paris, there are now 22 cities in 6 countries that have the detailed experience and 3D point view on Apple Maps. In Brazil, unfortunately, we still don’t have any city contemplated with the novelty, nor the improved maps in the enormous territory of our country.
