Avolon’s selection of the A330-900 “reflects its vision to secure first slots available, in order to take advantage of the growing demand for wide-bodied aircraft around the world,” said an Airbus press release. Andy Cronin, CEO of Avolon, said: We have been a strong supporter of the A330neo program since its launch and with our existing widebody order book fully filled, we are now locking in future growth in a limited supply environment. Our expanded delivery pipeline allows us to offer our customers the A330neo range and reduced emissions to meet their evolving fleet needs. « It’s fantastic to see Avolon once once more making additional investments in the A330neo and leading the lessor market in revamping widebody aircraft. Avolon’s vision and timing might not be better with this commitment for 20 additional aircraft to its portfolio. Avolon will benefit from the strong wave of growth and replacement we are currently seeing in all markets added Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of International at Airbus.
