Paris 2024: Lucas MAZUR and Faustine NOËL in bronze!

At the end of a tight but controlled final, Lucas MAZUR and Faustine NOËL (n°4) won the bronze medal! Facing the pair Siripong TEAMARROM/Nipada SEANSUPA (n°2), the French duo led the entire first set before fighting to take the lead in the second. Buoyed by the arena crowd, Lucas and Faustine brilliantly seized the opportunities that presented themselves to win 21/14 21/16. The Blues once again climb onto the podium and can be proud of themselves for this second Paralympic medal in mixed.

Faustine NOËL: “ A medal at home is priceless. The two in the final were stronger this year, so we really have no regrets. We also had an extremely difficult group, we managed to get through it. We managed to hold on until the bronze medal, we can be very proud, especially with this crowd. We let ourselves be carried by the crowd, we play with them, they accompany us, we call them when we need help. This moment is truly magical. Today we were solid, much less so in front of them, and it’s thanks to the crowd. »

Lucas MAZUR : « It starts the day in the most ideal way possible. We were very successful in the money times, we chained together series of points especially in the first. Faustine covered the net very well at the end of the first set, it allowed us to accelerate very easily. At 14/14 I felt the shift happening and we had to go ahead, I asked for the support of the public and they reacted very well, they pushed us to the end. Thanks to that we made a series of points behind and the match is over. It’s exceptional. »
