Jonathan Hivernat’s Blues beat Denmark 53-51 in their opening match of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Championship.
In the extremely tough Group B, the French wheelchair rugby team is fully prepared for the Paralympics. The Blues are favorites for this tournament and face Denmark in their first game. As expected, the final podium was very close between the two candidates.
In the first quarter, no team could take advantage. The two teams played each other goalless and ended up tied (15-15). Led by captain Jonathan Siwinat, the Blues were on pace before the break. That sent them back to the locker room with a slim advantage (29-28).
