Fechoing the chromatic palette of “Look of the Games”the official stamp of Paris 2024 is revealed today in a colorful and dynamic set featuring several heritage and sporting elements, first and foremost, an evocation of the Tour Eiffel.

Besides the mythical «Dame de Fer» In the central layout, a representation of the Seine is also offered in the form of waves, while an athletics track and a ball recall the sporting dimension of the Games. The symbolism also highlights the Parisian cobblestones and the visual identity of Paris 2024 whose typography pays homage to the spirit Art Deco.

With a format of 31 by 52 millimeters, this stamp issued in 800,000 copies has a face value of 1.96 euros and is also based on the service International letter as if to strengthen the global footprint of the Games.

As stated by Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024 following the presentation orchestrated from the Museum of The Later (15th arrondissement of Paris) in the presence of the Minister of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra:

This stamp in the colors of the Paris 2024 Games is a new step in our collaboration with La Poste. Featuring the symbols of the visual identity of our Games, such as the Eiffel Tower, this stamp carries the colors of Paris 2024 and will fully contribute to Opening Up the Games.

We can’t wait to see him travel in France and around the world!

Thank you La Poste for this unique creation and for your commitment to the success of the Games.

A collector’s item, the stamp constitutes a medium of expression intrinsically linked to the Games since the first edition of the modern era in Athens (Greece) in 1896.

Subsequently, the alliance between philately and Olympism established the stamp as a commemorative vector surrounding each of the milestones of the global event, notably for France during the 1992 Albertville Games where a plate symbolizing the Olympic sports of winter had been created.

As pointed out by Philippe Wahl, Chairman and CEO of the group The Later :

La Poste, Official Supporter of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is proud to issue this emblematic stamp.

Rich in symbols, it reflects the soul of the Games and allows Paris 2024 to travel and shine across the world. This official stamp celebrates the Olympic spirit and immortalizes this great event in our collective history..

Proof of this commitment alongside the organizers of the Games, The Later was already part of the Paris 2024 candidacy between 2016 and 2017.

At the time, after the failure of Paris 2012 and beyond its investment within the framework of a partnership with the 58,000 referees of four major team sports (football, rugby, handball, basketball), The Later had expressed the wish to support the development of the French candidacy proposing a rectangular stamp then highlighting the Paris 2024 logo and the Grand Palais stylized in the colors of the Games, all decorated with the slogan of the candidacy, “Come Share”.
