The kindergarten will close for lack of students. They will therefore have to integrate a much larger structure.
Il y a two weeks, the parents of the kindergarten section of the Athénée royal Baudouin 1er, were informed by the management that the kindergarten was closing its doors at the start of the school year due to lack of enrolment. As the holidays approach, it is impossible for them to find a solution.
Emelinemother of a student of 1ère kindergarten is desperate: “Do we have to visit other schools knowing that we are already at the end of June? What should we say to children?“
Adele, mother of one student does does not want to change his childécole: “It’s a bit complicated to turn around, to find a school, etc… Knowing that we know the teacher well. We don’t really want to change.“
With nine students planned for the start of the school year, only three registrations are missing. These children would therefore be relocated to this Athenaeum. If the director does not want to comment, according to the parents; several pieces of furniture suitable for toddlers have already been ordered.
“I have the impression that the story is already complete and that we are trying to get us to take the pill so that when the school year starts, they are registered there. But no, it’s not possible”regret Emeline.

For his parents, there is no question of developing their children aged three to six in this new environment where they will rub shoulders with teenagers. Adèle, a lump in her throat, dreads this change: “It’s too big a structure with secondaries. This is really not suitable for little ones, even if there is just a class for them, it is just not possible. In addition, it’s right next to the carpentry workshop where it makes noise. There are children in reception class who still have to take naps so it is just not possible.“
