Cooking and eating are among Noni Kooiman’s favorite activities. Last month she made Paramaribo Peppers another culinary journey through Suriname, her father’s birth country. Now she is participating in De Slimste Mens 2024.

In Suriname, her father’s birthplace, she cooked with family, acquaintances and strangers, asking curiously about their background and traditions.

She shared her ambitions in the Volkskrant. “TV is the perfect medium to tell stories, I would like to make more TV about food and history.” This program will probably not be about spicy food.
