Paraguayan yerba mate and cocido, present at the most important food fair in Chile

Asunción, IP Agency.- A delegation from the Paraguayan Yerbatero Center, led by its president Eduardo Oswald, participates this week in the Foodservice fair, the most important in Chile within the food sector.

Within the framework of this participation, through joint work with the Embassy of Paraguay in Chile, an event is held to promote yerba mate internationally in its different presentations, as well as cooked mate, the traditional drink that is gaining international notoriety.

The event called “Discovering the authentic flavor of Yerba Mate” will take place at the residence of the Paraguayan ambassador to Chile, Antonio Rivas.

The Foodservice fair, which takes place between October 1 and 3 in its twelfth edition, is the place where the main players in the industry meet and show the latest developments and trends in products, services and technologies.

This space is one more used by the Paraguayan Yerbatero Center, which has already carried out other commercial missions, such as the one carried out in February of this year in the United Arab Emirates, within the framework of the Gulfood 2024 fair.

The production of yerba mate for this traditional Paraguayan drink generates employment for thousands of families in Paraguay. According to data from the Paraguayan Yerba Mate Center, it employs 55,000 families in the country with 45,000,000 kilos of yerba mate.
