Assumption, IP.- A Paraguayan family from Barcelona – Spain, returned to the country, following 11 years, through the efforts of the Secretariat of Development for Repatriated and Connational Refugees (Sederrec) of the presidency of the Republic.
Aníbal Garcete Méndez aged 37, his wife Juana Ruíz Díaz de Garcete aged 36 and their two daughters aged 12 and 4 respectively, who resided in the Iberian country for 11 years.
Starting in 2010, the lack of a stable job began to have a strong impact on the quality of life of the Garcete Ruiz Díaz family. They pointed out when entering national territory that in Spain, it was very difficult for them to get a permanent job that would allow them to cover daily expenses, and buy tickets for their return.
“A year ago we prepared to return to Paraguay, we wanted to return as soon as possible, the little we earned was used to feed the girls, we mightn’t save a single euro,” Aníbal Garcete highlighted.
At another time, Garcete expressed his desire to re-enter the labor market as soon as possible, exercising his profession as a teacher or venturing into the trade acquired in the field of construction and thereby being able to support his family.
As a result, the family decided to request the Paraguayan State, through Sederrec, for financial aid to be able to return to the country.
After opening the file and coordinating with the Paraguayan Consulate in Barcelona, the entire documentation process was completed, which finally made their repatriation possible, with 100 percent coverage of the return ticket.
