Paraguay returned after six years to the global discussion of policies focused on entrepreneurs

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, through the Vice Ministry of MSMEs, participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC+), held in Puerto Rico, which brought together leaders from more than 200 countries, with the aim of democratizing entrepreneurship worldwide.

It was organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), as a meeting point for entrepreneurs, investors and government figures committed to strengthening the entrepreneurial fabric.

Paraguay returned to this space for international discussion of public policies focused on entrepreneurs after six years. The meeting concluded with a call for joint action, recognizing the complexity of the sector and the need for constant assistance.

The head of the National Directorate of Entrepreneurship, Juan Paredes, participated in panels focused on the creation and capture of value through business incubation and acceleration programs.

During his speech, he reaffirmed the country’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, key elements in the consolidation of the business ecosystem.

The Congress also hosted the Startup Nations Ministerial Meeting, where the policies to support entrepreneurs and SMEs implemented by the Government of Paraguay were discussed.

The ministerial discussions also addressed issues such as governance and the digital economy, financing, trade, fundraising and expansion into emerging markets.
