Paraguay promotes strengthening of the automotive sector with Brazil

Asunción, IP Agency.- Promoting bilateral trade with Brazil, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Javier Giménez, held a meeting with the vice president of the National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (ANFAVEA) Gustavo Bonini, with the aim of analyzing the situation of the Paraguayan auto parts industry. and imports of Brazilian vehicles.

The meeting, at the company’s headquarters in São Paulo, focused on discussing strategies to enhance collaboration in the automotive field between both countries, with the central focus being the strengthening of the auto parts industry in Paraguay, as well as the increase in imports. of Brazilian vehicles to promote fluid bilateral trade.

The meeting also served as a platform for future interactions, since ANFAVEA was invited to carry out a high-level mission in Paraguay in the near future, with the aim of strengthening commercial relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

The firm brings together self-propelled vehicle and machine companies, which produce cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, wheeled and tracked tractors, harvesters and backhoes.

The company analyzes industry issues, promotes debates, produces studies, collects data and publicizes the performance of its sector, coordinates and defends the collective interests of its associated companies.

Also participating in the meeting were the Deputy Minister of Rediex, Rodrigo Maluff; the executive secretary of the National Council of Maquiladora Industries and Export (CNIME), Natalia Cáceres; and the representatives of the Paraguayan auto party sector, María Alejandra Rioboó and Luís Bolaños, among other national authorities.

Equally, the Consul General of the Republic of Paraguay, Luis Fernando Ávalos Giménez; and the Commercial Attaché of Paraguay in Brazil of Rediex, José Sebastián Amarilla.
