Paraguay promotes strategic alliance with Bolivia to “jump the Mediterranean barrier”

Asunción, IP Agency.- Within the framework of the panel “Paraguay, gateway to Mercosur”, which took place at the Expo Cruz (Bolivia), the Vice Minister of Industry, Lorena Méndez highlighted the need for strategic alliances between both countries, promoting synergy in production and jump over the Mediterranean barrier, with a view to creating jobs and improving the quality of life of the citizens of both nations.

During the opening of the event organized by the Paraguayan-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) in Bolivia, Méndez stressed the importance of complementarity between Paraguay and Bolivia, countries that, being landlocked, must focus on strategic alliances.

At the same time, the vice minister highlighted the common objective of both countries, which is to generate employment opportunities for young people and improve their quality of life, which constitutes a central axis of the efforts carried out by both countries.
In addition, Méndez celebrated the coordination between the private sector and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. During his speech, he thanked the AHK (Civil Society) for its collaboration and underlined the MIC’s willingness to support companies at all times.

“The doors of the Ministry are open, the information is available both on the website and on our phones. We don’t want them to get stuck in any procedure,” he said.

Likewise, he indicated that this type of events between the public and private sectors allows for strengthening these relationships and creating productive synergies. He also emphasized the advantages of the Paraguayan tax system, highlighting the simplicity of taxes—10% income tax, 10% VAT and 10% personal income tax—and the facilities that the country offers for opening current and business accounts. . online.

“We generate an entire attractive infrastructure so that they can set up their business and look for national partners,” said Méndez.

It is worth mentioning that the mission in Bolivia is accompanied by the Rediex Interinstitutional Development Advisor, Javier Viveros; the director of Rediex Export Support, Vania Ortega, and director of Rediex Investment Attraction, Santiago Bartrina.
