Paraguay made official its candidacy to host the next OECD Ministerial Meeting on Governance

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Minister of Labor, Mónica Recalde, made official Paraguay‘s candidacy to host the next Ministerial Meeting on Governance of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), scheduled for the last quarter of 2025. This application was made during the OECD Summit of Labor Ministers on Social Inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean in Bogotá, Colombia.

The head of the Ministry of Labor highlighted in her presentation Paraguay’s role as co-president of the OECD Program for Latin America and the Caribbean from 2022, underlining the country’s efforts to promote good practices and standards of the organization, which translates into greater well-being for citizens.

Likewise, he highlighted the government’s commitment to implementing significant reforms to improve public confidence in the State.

Parallel to the application, Paraguay advanced a list of possible topics that could be addressed at the next meeting, such as the generation of trust, improvement of infrastructure governance and the use of artificial intelligence in public management.

The OECD is a forum where governments collaborate to address economic, social and environmental challenges. Headquartered in Paris, it has more than 35 member countries. The Ministry of Labor reports.
