Asunción, IP Agency.- Our country is 5 days away from hosting the continental competition that celebrates sport and inclusion. The IV Latin American Games of Special Olympics will be from October 4 to 12.
The competition will welcome some 1,400 athletes with disabilities and unified teammates from 19 Latin American countries and 4 guests: Germany, Belgium, Spain and the island of Bonaire.
The official inauguration will be this Friday, October 4, with a great party at the La Nueva Olla Stadium with the presentation of Rombai, Carlos Baute and national artists. Tickets are available by booking through the tuti.com website.
The competitions start the next day and will be held at the Sports Secretariat, the Olympic Committee, the National Aquatic Center and the Centenario Club.
The official broadcast will be through Paraguay TV.
The Latin American Special Olympics Games are not limited only to the sports field. Simultaneously with the competitions, a series of non-sports events focused on health, education and leadership will take place. These events will provide an additional platform to promote inclusion, raise awareness of the importance of health and wellbeing, and advocate for equal opportunities for all people, regardless of their abilities.
