The case of Garnacho
The absence of Alejandro Garnacho in this call was one of the surprises on Scaloni’s list. The coach explained the reasons why he decided not to summon the Manchester United footballer.
“It’s for a football issue. We don’t like to bring in players and constantly leave them out or leave them out of the squad. Everyone wants to be there and it’s great, but the human part plays a role and you have to make decisions,” the coach argued.
