Farmers have their rights, but the fiscal space has been exhausted, Deputy Minister of Finance Nikos Papathanasis pointed out to SKAI.

“We should look at the economy as a whole… There is a fiscal space, it is exhausted it is not only the farmers, there are our vulnerable fellow citizens, we have to be very careful regarding emergencies like Daniel. There is no other margin,” he said characteristically.

“Farmers have the right to protest and they have their rights. Because of the accuracy, their activity has been affected,” noted Mr. Papathanasis. However, he reminded that the farmers have less than 10 minutes per kilowatt-hour of energy, and 100% refund of the EFFK in advance, among their basic requests.

In total, according to protothema, the program for Daniel reached 3.5 billion euros. The program is “running” and the compensations are “running” and will be given, promised Nikos Papathanasis.

He also pointed out that the aid program for tourist accommodation, which shows great participation, and another for general entrepreneurship, are extended until March 22. A 45 to 60% subsidy is provided for own participation.
