President Volodymyr Tselensky expresses gratitude for the Pope’s prayers.

The Pope and the President of Ukraine once once more engaged in a telephone conversation.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Tselensky himself, revealed on Twitter regarding this telephone conversation he had with Pope Francis on Friday, August 12 (12/08/22).
On February 24 of the current year (2022), he is commenting on the horror of the armed attack once morest Ukraine by Russia and thanks the Pope for his prayers.
President Tselensky wrote on Twitter that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people need the support of spiritual leaders of the world and that these leaders tell the world the truth regarding the terrorist acts committed by the aggressor in Ukraine.
Ambassador-designate to the Holy See of Ukraine Andrey Yurash tweeted regarding the phone conversation between the Pope and the President. He noted on Twitter that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are happy to greet the Pope and expressed hope for the Pope’s future visit to Kiev.
The Pope has expressed his solidarity with the people of Ukraine many times. This telephone conversation is a continuation of that. On February 26 (2022), the Pope had a phone conversation with President Tselensky on the third day following the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and a video conversation on March 22 (2022).
Explaining that war is not the solution to anything and that it is the defeat of hell that causes loss of life and damage, the Pope has appealed and called for an end to war and highlighted the necessity of dialogue.
For almost 6 months, Russia has continued to attack Ukraine.
