The Pope said it was urgent to nurture a culture of peace and non-violence through dialogue at all levels, as peace is the passion of hell today.
On Saturday (28/05/22), Pope Francis addressed a delegation of Mongolians to the Vatican to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the Apostolic Prefecture (local ecclesiastical province) in Mongolia.
The pope recalled that this was the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of the Prefecture and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Mongolia.
Pope Benedict XVI acknowledged that Mongolia’s official delegation was visiting the Vatican shortly followingwards, and expressed his gratitude for the visit, which aims to promote mutual understanding and cooperation in building a peaceful community and to deepen friendship with the Catholic Church.
Pope Benedict reminded that dialogue should invite everyone to reject all forms of atrocities, including anti-environmental violence.
The pope also recalls the fact that the process of equipping religion to justify acts of violence and hatred, unfortunately, continues today.
The pope emphasizes the fact that Jesus and the Buddha are the architects of peace and advocates of non-violence.
The pope reminded that the friendship between Mongolia and the Vatican should be strengthened for the good of all, and reminded that Mongolia has a long tradition of peaceful co-operation between different religions.
