2024-02-15 19:26:52

The front Paolo Guerrero confirmed this Thursday that he will not play for Cesar Vallejo Universitydespite the contract he signed with the Trujillo club for the entire 2024 season.

As the attacker explained – which at the time was broadcast in Colo Colo -, the above is due to the threats that his mother, Petronila Gonzáles, receivedafter learning of his arrival in Peruvian football.

In an interview with América, Guerrero gave his reasons for reversing the bond that unites them with the ‘Poets’.

“The day we signed the contract was during an afternoon and, via WhatsApp, we had already been negotiating for days. “I signed the contract and sent it to my lawyer, who was the one who was in contact with César Vallejo, especially with Richard Acuña (president of the club),” said the Peruvian attacker.

“It was happiness and tranquility, I already had the idea that I was going to travel to Trujillo. My mother calls me very worried to tell me ‘look at the messages they have sent me, what do I do with this’. She was very nervous. They spoke with threats, it was very short,” added the historic scorer of the Peruvian National Team.

Then, Paolo Guerrero explained that “I told her to be calm, that we didn’t know who that person was, to write down the number and that I was going to see it with Julio García (Guerrero’s lawyer). I repeated to him that nothing would happen, Peru loves me. “I spoke with my lawyer, we didn’t know how far this could go.”

The aforementioned media revealed some of the messages that the mother of the Inca striker received: “We are the organization behind the majority of murders and kidnappings in Trujillo, it depends on Paolo if he wants his stay to be peaceful or terrifying”.

It is worth mentioning that Guerrero, who continues in Brazil, seeks to resolve the bond that unites him with César Vallejo for the entire 2024 season to continue extending his football career.
