How did the idea of creating Ciencuadras.com?
The platform proposes a housing ecosystem that facilitates access to more people and links various partners in the sector (real estate, construction companies, agents, financial entities, etc.); For this reason, this project was born, in order to improve the housing supply in the country, so that Colombians find solutions in one place to cover their needs to buy, sell, rent or live in a property.

How does it work Ciencuadras.com?
It is a digital platform where Colombians can find an offer of more than 200,000 properties nationwide, in which, apart from accompanying them in the process of buying, renting or selling a property, they have access to additional services, such as credit management mortgage, request for the certificate of tradition and freedom, certified appraisal, even the handling and other procedures.
What are the advantages and disadvantages that you have had with the launch of the platform?
With the production of our platform, we find that the real estate market in Colombia needs a renovation. People are looking for new ways to buy or rent homes with a different digital experience than the classic models. One of our great differentials is having the permanent offers section, where users can propose a cheaper price. On the other hand, one of our great challenges is to unite all the actors in the real estate sector to make processes easier and generate value for people.

Is there a robust supply of new non-VIS housing that meets the requirements demanded by the subsidy, on the outskirts of the big capitals?
There are non-VIS projects with Edge, Leed and Casa certification benefits, which are sustainability certifications. From Ciencuadras.com we have identified more than one hundred projects with these conditions; 77 are in cities like Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and its surroundings.
Can all these projects access the subsidy and from what values do they start?
All projects that have the certifications and meet the non-VIS value can access the subsidy. They start from the VIS cap which, for this year, is from $150,000,000 for large cities.

What areas of the country stand out?
Most are located in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and surrounding cities, such as Chía, Cajicá, Mosquera, Jamundí, Bello and Itagüí, respectively.
What should those interested do to apply for this benefit?
They must look for a project that meets the sustainability conditions defined by the Government and, through the credit requirement in the financial institution, request to be one of the beneficiaries of the Ecobertura subsidy. In case of being favored with the subsidy, you will be able to receive coverage of up to 52 smmlv for seven years. These coverages will be granted until December 31, 2022 and the beneficiary must not have had a subsidy or previous benefits in order to apply.

What are the main characteristics of this type of housing and projects?
Less polluting materials, saving water or the use of fibers or elements that do not have such a high impact on natural resources. In general, the predominant elements must be sustainability in the environment, sustainability in construction, efficiency in water, energy and materials, among others.
What are the steps to apply?
Choose the housing project with eco-friendly and sustainability standards. Then request a home loan from the financial institution. When requesting the mortgage loan or housing leasing, express the intention to apply to Ecobertura. Once the credit is approved, the study of titles and appraisal of the property must be requested, so that the bank can definitively analyze whether the house meets all the requirements.
