A shocking video has been released showing a 9-year-old boy trying to protect himself from gunfire that ripped through his home in Texas. In the video, the boy plays carefree and then sits on the sofa to cover himself in terror. Moments later, gunshots are heard and bullets fly through the windows and walls of the living room, with the child miraculously unharmed.
“The shooting was very close. They were done as soon as he sat down. If he had stood a little longer, he would have been hit,” his shocked mother says to the camera. The little boy, visibly terrified, states that he does not feel safe and does not want to live there anymore.
According to the report, a total of six people were injured, including four children. The victims range in age from three to 19 years old.
The child’s mother, who does not have the money to move immediately, has started a fundraising campaign to enable the family to move to a safer place.
