In Spain, in Marbella, at least five people who were in a nightclub were hospitalized overnight from Sunday to Monday for gunshot and stab wounds. For some undetermined reason, someone opened fire in the crowded room. The incident happened at the Opium Beach Club in Marbella shortly following 1am. Chilling footage shared on social media shows panicked nightclub patrons screaming as they try to escape from the stage.
According to the Express, a woman was killed. The shooter is in custody at the hospital. He is said to be in serious condition following stab wounds to the head and chest.
Local and national police rushed to the nightclub, with an eyewitness reporting the presence of 18 police vehicles at the site. Three ambulances also went to the scene, the witness said. Speaking to local outlet El Confidencial, the eyewitness said: “I mightn’t sleep because of the noise from the disco and suddenly I heard the four gunshots.
