Another informal Panhellenic record for 2nd (15 years old) children was achieved by the NEP athlete Fanis Kouris (K15) during yesterday’s second day of the international meeting “Acropolis Swim Open 2024” held at the OAKA indoor swimming pool with a galaxy of Greek and foreign stars swimming.
The record yesterday came at 100m. butterfly and in the C final, where he won with 55.77, while the previous one was 56.28! We also had the participation of Apostolia Skouta (K17) in the grand final A in the 100m. butterfly, where with a time of 01:02.61 she was 8th (1st in her age category) and of Tenia Giannakopoulos (K18) in the second final of the same event, where with a time of 01:03.51 she was 5th (4th overall in her age category).
The rest of the NEP children had the following performances:
Vasiliki Bouropoulou (K16) 35.84 in 50m. breaststroke, Marianna Katsantoni(K15) 36.53 in the same event, Fotis Chrysanthakopoulos(K16) 59.23 in the 100m. butterfly and Andronikos Konstantopoulos (K19) 01:57.96 in the 200m. free.
The relevant announcement of the NEP stated, among other things, the following: “Congratulations once more first and foremost to Fanis for the impressive, consecutive Panhellenic (albeit informal) records and to the rest of the children for their participation in the finals and in general for all their effort and of course and to their coach Lina Mastropasqua”.
