Panama’s new president, José Raúl Mulino, advocates for free elections in Venezuela

Mulino assumed the candidacy of the former president Ricardo Martinelli -following he was disqualified following confirmation of the sentence of regarding 11 years for being accused of the crime of money laundering- following winning the presidency of the Central American country last Sunday with more than 34% of the votes.

He did not miss the opportunity to speak regarding the issue of migration, which is why he said that as president-elect he has the challenge of preventing more people from entering his country to follow the route to the United States.

He was emphatic in revealing that has no plans to build a fence in the Darien jungle, However, he confessed that they will use technology to discourage the entry of migrants into Panama.

It should be remembered that the Panamanian president was Minister of Security, so he knows Darien very well, which is why he reaffirmed the use of technology to control Panamanian space, beyond having police patrols guarding the border.
