Founder of the Torcida Records Club label, Lisbon producer Bandicut skilfully deploys the extent of his producer’s palette in a rhythmically climbing PAM Club.

Since 2017, Diogo Santos aka Bandicut installs at his own pace and with a lot of application his very identifiable paw within the Afro-electronic scene of Lisbon. It was in the early 2010s that the producer and DJ emerged – animated at the same time by the wave of Moombathon sound from the American-Ecuadorian Dave Nada, Diplo and his label Mad Decent, or local Buraka Som Sistema – before to take a break to rethink its artistic identity. Today, the native of Setúbal (a working-class suburb south of the Portuguese capital) finds his way into an Afro club groove, managing to extract the best from the ever-growing batida phenomenon and globalized influences. With numerous EPs to his credit, including the elegant I’m not there in collaboration with the Geneva producer of Sierra Leonean origin Rolv.K. Participations in the latest remarkable compilations of the Parisian collective 99Ginger; or even releases such as the EP shy of Lokowat last year on his young label, the projects carried out by Bandicut all turn out to be more exciting than the other. In control of the PAM Club, he takes the opportunity to shape a set made up of his best productions and distills some exclusives that we can’t wait to have in our playlists.
