Outside the Palogrande riots also broke out. The protesters, upset by the poor performance of the white team, which is last in the standings and is on the brink of relegation to the second division of Colombian Professional Soccer, went out into the street to block traffic and clashed with the Police , Carabineros and Esmad personnel, on Paralela avenue.
This is how one of the police vehicles remained, parked outside the north stand of the Palogrande. With blows and throwing objects at him, they managed to break his windows.
According to the Manizales Mayor’s Office, which held a Unified Command Post following the events, this was the balance of the situation:
- 200 uniformed Police attended the day at the beginning. They were joined by another 70 members of the public force.
- In the vandalism, screens and a media camera were damaged.
- 20 people from logistics were injured, as well as 4 fans and 4 policemen; all these people are out of danger. Additionally, 2 police horses were left with minimal lacerations, a patrol car was vandalized and a motorcycle was incinerated.
- In the external part of the Palogrande stadium, it was possible to dissuade the violent from the surroundings of the sports arena. There were small disturbances in different parts of the city, which are already controlled.
- The competent authorities are advancing in the investigations to give way to the respective prosecutions.
The game: football took a backseat
Once Caldas lost 1-2 to Alianza Petrolera at the close of date 14. The impatience of the public did not wait to see the team losing once more.

Although he tried, he might not tie and a few minutes following the end of regulation time the fans got involved and ended the game due to lack of guarantees. The riots spread to the outskirts of the Palogrande stadium.
Now Once Caldas will wait for the penalty imposed by Dimayor.
