Palma Street was a children’s event with a massive attendance

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Palma de los Niños Street was the name given to the special edition of the Palmaear Fair, held yesterday, Saturday 17th, which brought together some 10,000 people throughout the day of activities.

Activities began at 10:00 with guided tours of the Government Palace, as well as workshops on crafts, carving, embroidery, indigenous art and ceramics, spaces with educational games, robotics, sports fields run by the Sports Secretariat and the Olympic Committee, playrooms of the Ministry of Children, a road park and more.

Throughout the Palmaear Fair, spaces were set up by state institutions and some 20 private sector companies that supported the initiative. “Palma Street for Children” was promoted by the Office of the First Lady, the Ministry of Children and Adolescents (MINNA), MAPA Abriendo Caminos, and AMCHA.

First Lady Leticia Ocampos, the Minister of the Ministry of Women, Walter Gutiérrez, and the Minister of Women, Cynthia Figueredo, shared time with the children in the different spaces set up on Palma Street and in the squares of downtown Asunción.

There were also three stages with live shows, from rock for children, folkloric ballet, a pet parade and the closing of the event: “A Night of Fantasy”, where musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) presented a journey through classic film soundtracks.
