Palestinian Prime Minister: We are going through a very difficult phase

Palestine – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa confirmed on Saturday evening that the Palestinians are going through a “very difficult” phase.

Mustafa added that the entire Palestinian national project is targeted.

This came during a tour of Balata camp, the old city of Nablus, the Jordanian field hospital, and the town of Beita in the northern West Bank, “in light of the occupation’s measures, ongoing closures, and repeated incursions, which have affected all aspects of life,” according to a statement issued by his office, a copy of which was received by Anadolu Agency.

Mustafa condemned the “Israeli genocide crimes in Gaza.”

He added, “We are going through a very difficult phase, and the target is our people, with all their segments and presence. Our entire national project is targeted, and the occupation does not want us to have a state or independence.”

Earlier on Saturday, an airstrike targeted the tents of displaced Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, killing 90 Palestinians and wounding 300 others, including children and women, according to statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Strip.

Mustafa said: “But we will continue our work until we achieve our legitimate goals by completing our national project of ending the occupation and establishing our independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

He continued: “Despite the difficult circumstances and conditions, the determination of our people gives hope, and we will be at the service of our people everywhere, and we will do everything possible to address all issues.”

The Palestinian Prime Minister pledged that his government “will provide everything it can and will provide more if the occupation’s war on our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank ends.”

He added, “We will rebuild and reconstruct what the occupation destroyed with the help of our people.”

He said, “The camps are the origin of the story, and we will not abandon the refugee issue and we will thwart the occupation’s plans through collective and national action.”

In conjunction with its war on Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which led to the killing of 574 Palestinians, the injury of regarding 5,350, and the arrest of regarding 9,625, in addition to significant damage to the infrastructure, especially in the camps in the northern West Bank, according to official Palestinian sources.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza with American support, leaving nearly 127,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children.

Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
