Matteo Bruni, director of the Vatican’s communications office, briefed the media on the telephone conversation between Pope Francis and Palestinian President Muhammad Abbas. Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the president thanked Pope Francis for his efforts to build peace during the talks held yesterday evening.
