Sohawa police traced the alleged killer of a female journalist from Pakpattan. whose mutilated body was found on March 11 from the mountainous area of ​​Taraki.

It should be noted that on April 17, with the help of fingerprints of the deceased, the dead body was identified as Tahira Nosheen, who was a journalist associated with a local Urdu newspaper.

The woman’s ex-second husband allegedly stabbed and shot her, threw acid on her face to erase her identity, according to police investigators.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Suhawa Sajid Gondal said that Tawakal Hussain, the journalist’s ex-husband, had been summoned to cooperate in the investigation but he absconded and was later declared an informant. Sajid Gondal said that the suspect was arrested while traveling from Lahore to Jhelum area near Turki.

According to the SDPO, during the investigation, the accused confessed to killing Nosheen while driving the car from Rawalpindi to Lahore.

The accused told the police that while passing through Gujjar Khan city, he switched off his mobile phone and went to the hilly area on GT Road where he allegedly shot him with a pistol and threw acid on his face.

According to the police, the fingerprints of the deceased were taken before the cremation, due to which he was identified from the NADRA records. Sohawa SHO Mohammad Imran said that during the investigation it was also revealed that Nosheen had differences with her second husband as he was eyeing her house and agricultural land in Pakpattan which she got from her late father. It was inherited.

He was asking him to allow him to buy a house in Lahore after selling the property. She had also filed a case in the family court to get a divorce from him. The woman had lodged a complaint with the FIA ​​cyber crime wing against the accused for sharing her objectionable photos with her acquaintances.

The accused later convinced her that he would delete the photos if she accompanied him to Lahore. However, on his way to Lahore, he allegedly killed her on the night of March 9. The SHO said that the police have also recovered the weapon used in the murder. The accused was sent to jail on judicial remand by the court.
